BLACK HISTORY What inspired me to write this poems starting with SLAVERY is simple, my son is of African origin and I started asking my Mother in law where they came from and she said: ”Ivory Coast”, from there they brought us to the Dutch Colony which is Suriname, our name Weigle is a Swiss name there was a Swiss Monastery. Then we moved to America and inspiration hit me again when I visited South Carolina and I wrote the first poem of this book, “The South”.
